How can users add Social Networking details to their User Profiles?

Users have the option to include their social networking details within their profile to increase the number of ways in which other members can reach them.

To add a social networking account to their profile, members must follow the steps below:

  1. Click Update my details **(found under the Your Account **heading on the main menu).
  2. A screen similar to the one below will display:

  1. Select the tab which contains their contact information, go to the** Social Networks** drop-down menu.
  2. Choose from the list of possible networks to add. Enter the requested information (see below for more details of the type of required data users will be asked for).
  3. Click Update to save changes.

Determining your Facebook ID

Your Facebook ID is required when setting up your Potentiality profile with Facebook. You can find it in your Facebook URL after logging in.

Instructions on how to work out your Facebook ID are listed below.

  1. Log in to Facebook.
  2. Click on the profile tab to go to your profile page.
  3. On the profile page, click your profile photo.
  4. In the Facebook URL in your browser's address bar, look for the following, keeping in mind that your number will differ:

The example below shows id=100014969441763

  1. The number after the equals sign is your Facebook profile ID.

e.g. 100014969441763

If you have recently upgraded your Facebook Account to use a named identifier for facebook vanity URLs, please enter this as your profile ID.

Determining your Flickr Alias

Your Flickr Alias is required when setting up your Potentiality profile with Flickr. It is the alias that you used when signing up, for your custom Flickr URL, following the flickr.com address.

e.g. http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourusername

In the example below, the username you should enter into Potentiality is 169288264@N05

Determining your Google ID

Your Google ID is simply your Google email address.

Determining your Twitter ID

Your Twitter ID is required when setting up your Potentiality profile with Twitter. You can enter one of two options:

Determining your Linkedin public profile URL

Your Linked In public profile URL is required when setting up your Potentiality profile with Linked In. To find your public profile URL, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into Linked In
  2. Click on Profile in the menu
  3. Scroll down the page until you see the item titled “Public Profile”. Copy the URL next to it, and enter it as your Linked In public profile URL in Potentiality.

e.g. http://www.linkedin.com/in/yourname

In the example below, the public profile URL that a user would enter into Potentiality would be*: https://www.linkedin.com/in/amy-taylor-54ab74121/*

*Determining your Pinterest ID *

To find your public profile URL, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Pinterest.
  2. Click on profile on the menu.
  3. In the Pinterest URL in your browser's address bar, look for your unique ID, keeping in mind that your number will differ:

The example below shows ID =amytaylor9317.

Determining your Skype ID

Your Skype ID is required when setting up your Potentiality profile with Skype. You can find your skype name by clicking on your profile icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen > Skype Profile (under Manage heading).

Enter your Skype name (highlighted below) into Potentiality to set up Skype within your user profile. In the example below, the username that a user would enter into Potentiality would be: live:amytaylor79.
