What is Beta? mode How can it benefit me?

Your Potentiality system is upgraded and improved on an almost daily basis.

As our engineers do upgrades, they put all the latest features into a special corner of the site known as the “beta” silo. This beta silo can be enabled/disabled as you wish. The upside of having it “enabled” is that your site benefits from the latest upgrades immediately. The downside is that sometimes there are glitches which unintentionally affect other parts of the site.

Once every month or so the beta features are “rolled over” to become part of your Standard Potentiality software. The aim is to only do this rollover once the beta features have been tested and our engineers are confident that the new features are stable enough to be part of the standard software. All features are tested on our Proof server before being put into the "beta" silo but this testing is rudimentary and not final.

In many instances when you run into a bug, you’ll find that we can “fix” the problem by disabling the beta silo.

We can enable/disable beta upon request.

Please note: that even if you manage to “fix” an issue by disabling beta features, its important that you tell us about it so we can fix the underlying issue, otherwise the glitch runs the risk of being rolled over from beta into the Standard software. If you come across such an issue (that you've "fixed" by disabling beta), please let Potentiality know either by email or log it on support ticket with the label “beta bug” (or similar) so that we can investigate and resolve.
